“From an Idyllic Novato Childhood to the Jungles of Vietnam and Beyond” will be the featured topic.
Darren Walton, Novato High Grad, Vietnam War Hero and Award-winning author, will reminisce about growing up in Novato, and recount his life-changing experience as “recon” U.S. Marine, one of the military’s most dangerous jobs. Anyone interested in Novato history is welcome to attend.

Pioneer Park Cemetery Tour
Welcome to the Pioneer Park Cemetery Tour! Join us for a fascinating journey through history at Pioneer Park. Explore the stories of the pioneers who shaped our community, learn about their lives, and uncover the secrets of the past. This in-person event is a unique opportunity to connect with the past and discover the rich heritage of our city. Please note that the tour consists of some stairs and narrow pathways. A $10.00 donation would be greatly appreciated, payable at the event.

Come spend a little time with some of Novato’s early residents on the perfect day to visit. This event is a unique opportunity to connect with the past and discover the rich history of our city. Please note the tour consists of some stairs and narrow pathways. The tour will be ending at dusk so a small flashlight might be advisable. A $10.00 donation would be greatly appreciated, payable at the event. In the event of rain the tour will be canceled.
